Bio

Catherine Ducker studied Fine Art at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design (BA Fine Art, 1993–1996) and MSc in Horticulture University of Reading (2001). Her multidisciplinary background bridges the worlds of art, nature, and education, shaping a creative practice that is both contemplative and deeply rooted in the natural environment.

With extensive experience in horticulture and agriculture, both locally and globally, Catherine’s art reflects a lifelong engagement with growth, landscape, and organic form. Painting becomes for her an act of observation and interpretation — a space where nature and imagination meet.

In 2018, she founded The Coaching Barn, an educational and creative hub. The space hosts workshops and art programs that bring together people of all ages, inspiring a sense of connection with creativity and the living world.

Catherine continues to paint from her long-standing studio in rural Oxfordshire, where she has worked since the age of seventeen. Her artistic journey, however, extends across continents and cultures: from the South African landscapes of her childhood, to her studio in New Delhi in 1992, and further travels painting and drawing across South America, Oregon (USA), South Africa, Ghana, Portugal Algarve, the Mediterranean Andalusian coast of Spain, Santa Fé and Croatia travelling alone to paint.
